After my cat decided to use my laptop (Compaq V6000) as his own "hot spot"... and then proceeded to take several keys with him when I picked him up; I needed a replacement. This keyboard was a perfect fit.
Now then, if you're wondering about how much fun this is to install, I'd say plenty. If you're good at marking down where every screw came from and can feel around for anything you missed (easy to do) without getting frustrated and just yanking, you'll do fine. Otherwise, buy this keyboard and take it to a repair shop, you'll probably save quite a bit on the repair if you already have the part (I've worked for repair shops and they usually like to mark everything up a little). It took me maybe half-an-hour to pop the old one out and get the new one in. Worked perfectly first try, no complaints at all! |

| Just received this keyboard and replaced the old one on a dv6700 and it works perfectly. Haven't had a problem with it yet and am glad to have replaced it. |

| My husband, who works on his computer towers all the time, was hesitant when I said I was going to replace my laptop keyboard. But, the keyboard was really easy to replace with the directions from the web. Great product no problems with it since I installed over six months ago. |
